Qatar Photography Day (Soura Forum)

The Qatar Photography Day (Soura Forum) is the largest gathering of photographers in Qatar (both amateurs and professionals), and it is a youth initiative that was proposed and worked on by about 16 members of the Qatar Photography Center, as this forum seeks to highlight and spread the hobby of photography in Qatar, in addition to being an artistic space for acquaintance between photographers, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences between them, and encouraging beginners and amateurs to engage in the world of photography.

The Idea of the Forum

The idea of the Qatari Photography Day came from a number of members of the Qatar Center for Photography, who are a group of young men and women volunteers and lovers of this hobby. March of each year to coincide with the most appropriate weather for holding events and activities in Qatar, as the International Day of Photography falls on August 19 of each year, but the month of August witnesses a significant rise in temperatures in the country, which is not commensurate with any events or activities during this time of the year. .
